-ChildreN's BLaNteR-

Sometimes, the conversations between my students and myself really tickles me and makes me smile endlessly like an idiot...

=Ah Pek & DarreN (two boys of similar height)=

Ah Pek - "You so old already still sit baby table?!?!?!?"

Darren - "This is baby table meh???"

Moments later, Darren shifted to a taller table...

=Rachel=

Rachel - "Teacher, give you la" (throws a mini packet of skittles to me)

Me - "Why do you give it to me?"

Rachel - "Cos I cannot eat, so give you loR..."

Me - [Smiles]

-TaG-

Notice how nobody likes to tag on my blog except for chinks and cowpat?? hahaha... along with Tania occasionally...

TaG... kinda weird knowing there are people who are reading but I will never know who...

The issue of Divorce seem to be appearing quite often in TOdaY... if anybody notice closely, you would have seen a tiny contribution by わたしは... Haha...

At the end of the day, Divorce doesn't benefit anyone... I personally feel it fixes more than benefits. Why complain about maintenance when the courts do insist that the wife must try to be financially independant? And there's children to think about to... it is not easy maintaining a family at all! My mom is a living example. And the fact that she has done it quite well makes me really proud of her.

Quit complaining Singaporean Men... Divorce mends what has irretrievably broken down. It doesn't benefit anyone at all.

-Still StinGs.. I Am Tired-

Some sense of relief... but it still stings... RaRR...

"Its not mine to begin with"... Just can't seem to get it into my head...

I feel super tired today... and I'm due for work soon! Geez... how am I going to keep my eyes open for the next 6 hours!?!?!?

Made an unarranged trip back to school today. Had thought I would go back tomorrow but since it is Candy's birthday and I can't go KTV nor dinner, I had to pass her present to someone who was going. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANDY!!!! -muacks- Hope you like the flowers... alittle messy, but its my first attempt! Hahaha...

Did simple presents for tutors this time round due to time constraint. Stayed up till about 2am finishing it. Hope the lecturers won't mind.. =) An early greeting to all teachers out there! Happy Teachers' Day! (This pretty much explains why I'm tired... had woken up at 630 to follow mom out to get the flowers for Candy)

Ok, time to get my lazy butt off the chair and off to shower before work... I haven't started studying yet and I see 3 busy days ahead of me... Yeah... God shall know when I would start studying.. hahahaha

-SouL--Mind-

The soul is weak...

The mind is strong...

Thoughts that won't go away

Pricks that shouldn't exist

Why should it be this way... when there is nothing to begin with...

-A Walk DowN tHe Memory LanE--Talk with VP & "Terrorist"-

I used to be easily contented... and aimless...

Tutors in TPJC always commented on how I never knew the art of prioritising.

They even called my mom countless times to object to the overseas trips I took in my JC years.

But I took a memory walk yesterday, in the compound that held dear memories.. and shared much laughter with tutors, who may not remember my name, but, still remembers me, as the choir gal who always hang out with 2 guys. (Don't get me wrong, I don't always hang out with guys in my JC days. I just happen to be good frens with 2 very famous guys in school, namely Matthew Lim and Reyner Tendean)

Laopa was free this week, so we met up yesterday for lunch. Since my mom started her 'singing' session (it always happens when my exams are round the corner), I decided to meet him earlier and we made an imprompto visit back to school. =)

The first tutor we saw at the canteen was Mr Chew. Good old Mr Chew still remembers Mike as he was in track and field afterall. They chatted away like good old frens while I commented on how the rules for the students in terms of uniform seemed to have lagged greatly. In fact, they actually have a choice not to wear their school belts and they no longer need to wear their ties!!!! RARR... back in those days, we would get punish for not wearing them! ~Bleah~

Then, I saw a familiar face and left the table to join the other table. Eugene was in school! Hahaha... really glad to see his face recovered and all. =) Felt really good catching up with him as well since its been a couple of months since his dreadful fall. We shared some good laughter with Sean and the Art Teacher for almost 20 minutes before heading on our separate ways as they make their way back to their beloved Art Room while me and Mike embarked to see other tutors.

Stopping by the Teachers board, we realised how many tutors have left over the past 4 years. Ms Joanna Ong aka Mrs Leong is no longer there as well! The only tutors left were my GP tutor, my dear Chinese tutor and of course, my Bio tutor aka VP now.

Before I came to TP, I had told myself that I probably would not go back to the grounds I love till I've graduated. Reason being that I never erase the guilt I had for failing to do well in my sciences and my science tutors had so much faith in me, especially Mr Toh, who recommended me to continue taking Biology despite me failing that subject at O levels. Besides, the Teachers' Day over the past years always collide with my timetable, making it impossible to go back anyway. This year, I had the intentions to go back to visit since Teachers' Day fell on my study week break. But since Laopa was free, I might as well just make my way back with company and good company it was.

I would never be able to tell you how much that sentence meant to me but hearing it for the first time, it really erased all guilt I had towards you.

"I am proud of you"

This is probably one of the longest times I have spoken to you and I really enjoyed it though I left Laopa to go find his own tutors while we chatted away. But it really meant alot to me. To all TPJC ex-students, TPJC is turning 20 next year! Do give your fullest support for the events next year! =)

Finally, me and Laopa had our last chat with the tutors, which went on for almost an hour and we nearly laugh till tears fell as we see the tutors bickering with each other. We chatted with my beloved Chinese tutor, who sounded like he just woke when we called his ext. no. Then came along Mrs Neo, my first 3 months C-Maths tutor who remembered me! Then the bickering began and the story unfolded about the 'terrorist'... Apparently, Mr Tan went to one of the JC to invigilate their oral exams. As he made his way home, he decided to cut across the school compound and was seen by the Principal of the JC... and he got stopped, apparently mistaken as a threat to the JC! Talk about fear for terrorists yeah... even TPJC has a security guard post at the entrance now. We also got to interact with this new tutor, Ms Mai and she increased our laughter as well while suaning Mr Tan. Now I know, if I need a standup comedian, I definitely know who to approach. =)

All in all, I had a lovely morning back in the school I loved. And as promised, I would keep to my word and participate to the fullest for next year's events! =)

-CP-BC-BBQ-40-AM-ACM-AH-

-CP-

Civ Pro test last Sat was alright actually... there were a few questions that I couldn't handle but other than that, it was alright I suppose... guess I will only know when the sem's results are out!

-BC-

Bukit Chandu... the second time I get to drive my Dad's car without supervision. (This doesnt' mean I don't drive on my own.. I do, using other cars.. hahah) I was actually suprised when Mom went, "You sure got someone that will guide you to wherever that place is? Then you take the car lah... Huh? Going ECP later ah? Haiya, you might as well just drive there too lah, then come back" And that's how I got the car... for more than half a day... to myself!!!

First stop was Bedok Central, where kay, nad, azi, mx and me bought the baking stuff for Sun. Naz and Izhary joined us soon after but cos the car can only fit so little, Izhary left after we all squeezed into the car...

What followed after we left Naz's house was a one and a half hour expressway tour... Actually, ECP would bring us to our destination in less than half an hour... But wrong directions led us to a tour of Kakit Bukit, PIE, CTE, Toa Payoh, AYE... I think I made like 5-6 U-turns that day! I know, I'm kinda a lousy driver... familiar places still ok but places in the west, I'm pretty much useless without a person who knows how to read the map and give me directions. But I can drive la.. at least good enough for people to sleep in my car though one of them actually dreamt of falling out of my car... =P

Stopped by at Habour Front to meet up with Marcus, Yol and Vik, where they took a cab and we followed behind. I SWEAR, I'm never going to follow a cab for directions ever!!!! Unless its my uncle of course. That cab driver didn't signal, went his own way, sped and decided to turn into a filter lane like 5 seconds before the turn. From the second lane, he just whack into the first lane and ME, being in the same lane, obviously can't do the same as there was a car in the first lane and there was a car behind me!!!! Thank God, for your blessings... It was definitely possible for the car behind to crash into me but it didn't and the car to my right gave me a long look before they drove on. I SWEAR, if the uncle didn't drove off fast enough after alighting them, I was going to lash out at him if I didn't had to park the car.

Bukit Chandu.. not too bad... but too ulu...

-BBQ-

After that long tour, I finally alighted Kay and Nad at Tampines and sent Azi home. Then I went to grab some puffs to bring to the BBQ that Mike was having at ECP. As I walk back to my car and opened the passenger seat to put my stuff in, don't ask me why, but I had a thought that if someone were to put a knife to me and force me to drive, I would have no defence... wahahahha...

THEN, just as I got into the car and was about to drive off, the passenger door opened! AND I WAS FREAKED OUT! Even seeing Azi's face wasn't enough to calm me down. Hahahahah... apparently she knocked... but too softly I guess. She left her phone in my car so she came back, hoping to catch me. I gave her a lift back to the interchange cos she was heading to Aloha and then headed to ECP.

The BBQ was not bad, food was more than sufficient for 10 of us. I'm sure the chicken is good, didn't get to taste it actually.. Did felt alittle weird cos I am afterall, not really in their group but still, after meeting them a handful of times at the many birthday parties last year, it wasn't that awkward afterall. And I definitely enjoyed having time alone to myself as I took a breather by the sea. I dunno if you guys will ever read this, but Laopa Laoma, I love you both! For listening, for talking, for being my company and even for helping me to come down all the way despite Laopa feeling unwell just to deliver 2 blocks of chocolate to my fren's house. I'm in debt to both of you and will repay with more than just my friendship... =)

-40-

40 what? 40 bottles of cookies of course! I know I did mention that I would be changing recipe and not bake this cookies for a long long while cos its super tedious though the end product is really yummy and profitable. But that was what the fundraising needed! Something that will bring us profits and make customers happy. Hence, the whole of Sun was spent at Naz's house where me, Muntaz, Tania, Azi, Kay, Naz and her siblings all slog and managed to complete it in 12 hours. Would have completed faster had the oven not gave up on us but I really hope it was overworked and not spoilt! Still, to all the girls, thank you for bearing with me as I gave directions and all. I'm not a perfectionist but I do demand the best with regards to cookies, Never be stingy with the chocolate! =) I am really really proud of all of us for completing all 40 bottles. The profits are raking in!

But don't worry year 3s, we will present to you the details really soon. Do consider the deposits, for the event and let location be a bonus to the event. =)

That's it for now, summary of the events in the past 3 days! Ta folks!

-FiRewOrks-

This first picture is the best picture that I could take from the final fireworks festival yesterday... =) I really think its not bad considering the fact that I am standing near to Thai Express!!

Don't you think this particular picture resembles a flock of birds??? Hahah...

I had a very lovely dinner at Thai Express with Jason, Sarah, Mike and his mother. It was a great feeling really cos its like the first time I get to meet Mike's mother in 13 - 14 years of our friendship!

After the fireworks, we headed down to Siglap for dessert at Hagen Daaz where I finally got to try... Yes... FONDUE!

A Big ThanK YoU to Mike Laopa for the Thai treat and Mommy Ho for the fondue treat!!! Not forgetting afternoon tea with Sarah Mommy too! =)

Ok, that's all for now.. more tomorrow morning where I'll back-track with photos taken at the Marina Carnival earlier yesterday!

-I need ResT-

Funny how assignments and tests just love to clump together and be due around the same time... My brain was kinda filled with rocks once again for the past week till CPA test was over on Thur. Though company law project is still hovering around me, my group member has told me not to worry about it so I guess that is another load off my mind. All that's left is Civ Pro class test this coming Sat then!

Hmmm, grey clouds are looming the skies... I sure hope the weather would turn for the better cos I'm going for the last day of the carnival at marina bay later... *cross fingers*

Lets see, I was quite happy yesterday... caught Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Desheng, Tania and Azi. (Hey, its been ages since we last caught a movie together eh?) Had heard a handful of comments with regards to this movie since it opened but I guess it was quite alright for me. I didn't really get to see as much chocolate as the book but I sure was tickled by the many songs in it! =)

Then, I got a belated present for myself! Hahaa... well, Tania said she will buy it for me but I couldn't wait so gal, you just treat me on MoN and Thur this coming week will do k? I guess asian movies' vcds and dvds are released much much earlier so I was really thrilled when I saw Be With You on the shelves! So I bought it... and watched it... and cried again... Hahahah.. Tania, I will lend you the dvd soon!! =)

Oh, which reminds me, I totally forgot to wish Singapore this year! Haha.. well, I had a pleasant suprise while watching the NDP this year.. Cos one of the songs used just after the pre-segment was actually part of a song the choir sang with West Winds during Wasbe! But then again, I guess I shouldn't be that surprise cos the military band conductor was the conductor for that song we did.. hahahah...

As the tide goes down, I feel much lighter though exam clouds loom ahead. As usual, I foresee busy times in the coming few months as I am now involved in the Prom comm. Nevertheless, I know I would enjoy being busy and our first meeting for the event has been quite a good one. So...
TO ALL YeaR 3s out there... COME FOR THE PROM!!! Details will be out shortly!! =)

-Old liao- been feeling pain in different places... hope its cos I'm not getting enough rest... ZzzZzz
More soon!

-Fishy Company-

Had dinner with Azi, Alvin, Candy, Desheng and Tania yesterday at Fish & Co - Suntec...
I remembered how the sisters clan once sprang the fish&co birthday cheer for xiaobin two years back. Guess I never expected to be sprung with this cheer in an almost full house fish&co yesterday! Still, a grateful thanks to the fishy company for the lovely night and the birthday cake! =) And to Daph, I'll be using the seal soon... once I get time to write my first letter to u! hahaha...

The fireworks was definitely the night's highlight! It was simply breath-taking! The 'wows' and 'wahs' are constantly heard from the surrounding crowd... Pity though, my view was partly blocked by the trees so didn't really get a full view of the fireworks. But still, lovely!

Oh yes, to those who smsed me their well wishes last night and this morning, Thank U for remembering.. =) In fact, I was quite suprised as some of the msgs came from frens that amazingly still remembered! Hahaha... TQ!

To Ivan, the person who is born on the same day, same month and same year, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN! It sure is hard to forget... =)

-CCN DaY-

I din had to go to school today... cos its CCN day, where students sell stuff to raise funds for the needy students in school. Since my classes are in the afternoon and school official ends at 12pm, I dun have to go to school but I went anyway... WHY?? To support the Business School Brainest Student gameshow organised by law of course... The questions were interesting and it made me realise how little knowledge I know.. Hahah...

I received a bouquet of flowers from Candy and Tania today. Thank you both! Its blue roses... one of my favourite flowers... =) Thanks for remembering!

-MoviEs, BookS and mE-

Two very lovely movies that I thoroughly enjoyed myself..

I guess, if I realised the picture icon on blogger earlier, I would have put those up sooner... still, better late than never.. =)

I'm voiceless.. thanks to tania, marcus, alvin and perhaps, my younger sister.. those in school seemed so happy that I'm finally infected... especially since I'm the last in the group to get it in class.. bleah..

I must say I was pretty amused to produce only sounds instead of words this morning.. -scratch head- guess the green curry from thai express wasn't as harmless as it tasted... wahahah..
We finally celebrated the 3 shou xin pos' birthday last night at thai express esplanade and took many many photos! It definitely felt nice to gather again after quite awhile.. =)

Ran into Jason while making our way back too.. it was a lovely suprise.. =) I like to thank all my friends, who have been patiently listening.. wouldn't have survived without you all..

I finally broke record for the month of July.. I managed to read 8 books! Used to read alot more but had ceased since I moved over here.. I used to be within walking distance from the library at my old house but now, I'm pretty lazy to take the bus down to borrow.. haha.. Thanks to Daph, I managed to start my reading habit once again.. the books in our sch lib is really not bad afterall.. =)

Movie and books have been eating into me.. *smack* realistic mind please.. but it can be quite hard.. like Daph said, who doesn't like happy endings? Likewise, who never dreamed about fairytale endings.. Yet, we have to keep a realistic mind and live life as it is... to the fullest that is! Still, many thoughts have been running through like river.. I've been pondering subconciously as well.. let nature takes it course? Guess I don't have a choice...

-Be With You-

-The Notebook-

Thank you grace and kase... for the soundtrack... =) its lovely...
