-OverDose Of ParaCetaMoL... I duN carE-

When the dentist's nurse first quoted me $450 for the extraction of one wisdom tooth, I nearly fainted... Then I reminded myself, this is the dentist that have seen me since young... and this is the ONLY dentist that I really trust, having seen others before.

Shortly after came the news that the Government is giving out bonuses to the people of legal age. Hence, my contribution to remove my wisdom tooth is subsidised in a way and that comforted me...

The day dawned... and it didn't help that I was freaking out and was a little late for my appointment. The dentist was having a conversation, which he tried to end it using me as an excuse... I stepped into the room and saw the anaesthetic jab needle on the tray...

I didn't stop to stare at it longer to find out how thick the needle was... I could feel it poking through but it wasnt as painful as I thought it would be.

The dentist then surprised me by saying that he would pluck out my lower tooth followed by the upper one. I had thought it would be just ONE.

Then came the drilling sounds...

And many minutes passed before he finally got my stubborn lower left wisdom tooth out...

Then came the strings... and my gums were stitched up.

"Now we will take out the upper one... or we can wait lah, your upper gum is still quite thick, lets wait till the tooth grows out a little more ok?"

Knowing that it would be much cheaper, since its the same side. I agreed. The ordeal has been quite enough for me in a day...

And gurgling with half of my mouth in numbness made me felt like a disabled... its how the water just drips out from my left side and I can't control it at all.

Pain? DUH...

I just hope the pain wun get any worse as of now... I SHALL SLEEP the day away to stop myself from drowning in paracetamol pills to ease the pain.

Then again, this experience is rather nice... my younger sister cooked mee for me and is currently cooling it down cos I'm not suppose to take hot food on the first day.

My mother boiled barley water for me...

I'm expected to be not able to speak for the next few days. Perfect excuse for keeping real quiet at work.

And interestingly... I've gotten MC from today till Monday...

Why did I get an MC for today and tmr???? I seriously have no idea... in d@n's words, "the dentist must be quite kuku." Then again, it might be the nurse who is kuku... who knows? Hahahah..

Before I end off, BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT TO LESTER AND MATTHEW! Both Lims by the way... Hahahhaha...

And off I go... to enjoy the instant mee prepared by my younger sister... =)

Contrary to its rather negative reputation in the West, the Pig of Chinese Astrology may be the most generous and honorable Sign of the Zodiac. Pigs are nice to a fault and possess impeccable manners and taste. They have so much of the perfectionist in them that others may be inclined to perceive them as snobs, but this is a misconception. Pigs are simply possessed of a truly luxurious nature, one that delights in finery and riches (in surroundings, food, lovemaking and otherwise). This Sign believes in the best qualities of mankind and certainly doesn't consider itself to be superior. Pigs also care a great deal about friends and family and work hard to keep everyone in their life happy. Helping others is a true pleasure for the Pig, who feels best when everyone else is smiling.

A Pig with no one around to appreciate its giving nature is a sad sight. Pigs are so magnanimous they can appear almost saintly; this can lead some less-than-well-intentioned souls to stomp all over this Sign, and the bad news is, the Pig will take the blows! Pigs make great companions in part because of their refusal to see the more negative or base qualities in a partner, but that rose-colored view can lead to this Sign's allowing itself to be taken advantage of. Contrary to their seemingly benign dispositions, however, Pigs can be quite venomous in response to being crossed by a lover, friend or business partner.

Pigs are highly intelligent creatures, forever studying, playing and probing in their quest for greater knowledge. They can be misinterpreted as being lazy, however, due to their love of reveling in the good stuff; this Sign could happily spend hours on end making love, napping, taking a long bubble bath or dallying over an incredible spread of rich foods. Pigs tend to make wonderful life partners due to their hearts of gold and their love of family. Even so, Pigs can be rather exclusive, choosing to spend time with those who will appreciate them most and ignore the rest of the populace. Pigs would do well to realize that there's more to life than being needed. When they open up their world to a diverse group of people, they will truly bloom.
The most compatible match for a Pig is the Rabbit or the Goat.

-First Day @ Work Was...-

Getting my old seat back... In the corner that I was quite comfortable in...

Saying "Hi, I'm Yimei, paralegal in liti dept" to dozens of people whose names I barely remembered and likewise, I think they probably won't remember my name after I said helo.

Having a warm welcome back from the liti dept save for some of the people who gives you the evil laughter and makes you wonder if you made the right choice.

I started decorating my table on the second day. ^.^ Now, I've got photos of loved ones surrounding me to accompany me through my working days. Soon, there will be a mini larder for my store of food to keep me awake through working hours. Hahahah...

I do miss chatting on msn... since I'm not allowed to at work. But then again, I'm learning new things along the way and with stuff to keep me occupied, I don't have time to chat online either. ^.^ Its a different phase of life alright... And I have taken my first step into it.

Press on for the week!

The groups pictures, with Dan's camera positioned on top of containers placed on the table! There's Kun.. being extra as usual.. Hahahah

Then the group retreated to the chambers above... And that's when Dan took this picture with the mysterious circle... We insist it was reflection while the owner claimed otherwise.. spooky isnt it? Hahaha... See how the circle is absent in the photo below??

-Walk DowN thE mEmOrY LanE 3-

I took a walk along a route after my visit to the Doc at my old town area.

A route I have ceased to walk along for more than 5 years...

I can still remember the time limit my mother set on me... 15 minutes. It was all the time I had to get to and from school. But for today, I took my time... absorbing the sight along the way.

Some shops have changed while some still remained. Interestingly, most of the ma-ma stores along the way were all closed for business. Even the Safe superstore is no longer in operation.

Stepping into the once familiar school ground, nothing has changed. In fact, much of the physical building looked the same save for its paint. As I approached the teachers' office, I stopped by the teachers' board and identified less than 1/3 of the teaching staff.

So many new faces...

The teachers I came back to visit weren't in the office. Thankfully, a half an hour wait made my visit worthwhile. My chinese teacher came into sight and into the office I went. Chatted for awhile and went to the canteen for a drink and ran into the other teacher I came back for. It certainly seem very very long since I've graduated from the school.

At least, my teachers managed to remember who I was!

No doubt all of us are leading our busy lives but gatherings as such are certainly therapeutic! It was great time spent along with much laughter, especially while viewing a number of video clips from old old television drama series and many many different advertisements! We should have this kinda moments periodically to keep ourselves sane! Hahah..

-A waLk DowN MemorY LanE 2-

I can't remember when was the last time I walked past the children care centre... The route seemed so familiar...

I took a walk down the memory lane yesterday when I went back to CGH for lunch with AC and Karent. Many changes indeed... In fact, I only knew about half of the staff after taking a walk round the specialist clinics.

Yet, most of the staff still remembered me. It has been more than 2 years... and it seemed like yesterday. They remembered my cookies... my baskets...

I am really happy, to be able to spend time with this group of people once again. Especially with my beloved "Ibu" aka Wati.. And there's Daphne, Puga, Lin, dear Jenny, SN Asmah and SN Joanne. Even Nurse Tan remembered me and held my hand while walking to the cafeteria.

I guess there are times where we never know how much we miss something till we see them again. =)
