When I first heard the song "Water Night", performed by the African Choir during the choir competition in Austria, I was blown away...

Since then, I made a mental note that I would definitely get the works of the composer of the song when I can afford it.

Unfortunately, the local shops don't carry his works. Hence, I debated getting the CD via Amazon.com.

Now, what has this got to do with the title of this post then?

The first person that came to mind to consult about the reliability of getting stuff from Amazon was one friend whom I seldom speak to. Hence, while I wasn't surprise by the response, I was turned off by it... In response to my query as to whether a particular choir group had bought the CD via internet, he responded:

"Sometimes, you shouldn't approach people only when you need them."

I shan't elaborate further on my response. Basically, I made my point known to him.

I am fortunate to have many friends from different walks of life. Friends whom I seldom meet, whom I've lost touch with, whom I know absolutely nothing about their on-goings at present. But are they still my friends? YES of course. WHY? Cos friends are those who came into my life for a period of time. And by friends, I do not mean mere acquaintances.

Hence, I decided to send a msg to ALL my friends this afternoon (to those whose contact numbers are in my hp). Nothing fancy, no bear/pig/other cute illustrations. Just plain simple words.

103 msgs sent

15 msgs received

What am I trying to show here?

1. It takes two to clap. If you choose to slap me with a "Sometimes you shouldn't approach people when you need them", I hope the above tells you that, not everyone would respond to a greeting msg and sometimes, people NEED a reason before approaching others.

2. If I am going to fault all those who did not responded, I would lose most of my memories cos each of them hold a part to it.

Friends accept them as who we truly are. Friends don't fault each other for not having even responding or question after your well-being.

It takes two to clap...

I would never be able to describe the true meaning of friends cos there's so much to it... But at least, don't let pettiness dampen it...

With Kun working in the same office as I, my lunch time was spent out of office instead of the usual choice of packing lunch back to office, chat with those who packed lunch back like me and back to work at 2pm.

As lunch hour became more meaningful, it meant more window shopping and discovering of new places and new stuff to add to the "want to buy" list.

I chance upon the Snow.Wolf.Lake muscial soundtrack in one of the CD shops located at the underpass and it was going for $8.80. What were the odds I would give it a miss? Zero obviously.

Unexpectedly though, I hadn't expect the rush of emotions that passed through me while I listened to the CD at work. Then again, it only confirmed that songs are really the easiest key to memories, especially when the song expresses a part of the relationship.

Does it mean that we are not over the relationship then? Well, there's no definite answer to that. But most of the time, when that particular song no longer pricks or induce such strong emotions, I guess the answer would be quite obvious. Nevertheless, everyone would have different reactions.

On another note, I think I happen to belong to a group of beings who needs music to bring us through work/reading. While most people would have that impression that a person who is listening to music is not productive or not concentrating in their work, I really beg to differ. Then again, it only re-emphasis the fact that... Assumption would make an ass out of you and mE!
